Harsh Lessons for the Terriers

5 Nov 2017 by Nigel Henderson

After winning their previous four matches the Terriers went into this cup match against a strong Swalwell side with confidence. The confidence was short lived though as Swalwell took an early lead and built on a strong start with a second goal in early succession.

Swalwell demonstrated good organisation throughout the game which meant they had a strong platform to build on. That organisation was something that the Terriers had been showing in recent games, but was missing in this tough fixture against the visitors from division 5.

The Terriers were good going forward and would hit back to make the visitors nervous at 3-2. However, the lack of organisation and discipline would again come back to haunt them with the visitors pulling further away.

Still some positives to take from this game with great saves again from the cat at the back and some great passing and finishing for the goals.

Final result Harton and Westoe Terriers 4-10 Swalwell Swifts.

Goals from Sam, Johnny, Jamie and Arron.
